1963 editions of Farmer’s Tax Guide have been ordered and should be available by the time the “News” is off the press. Come by and get a copy. Most farmers should fill out - their income tax returns on or before February 15th, 1963.

Cattlemen have been asking about the value of enzymes as a feed additive. Your County Agent wrote C. C. Mast, Extension Animal Husbandman, VPI to see if late research had uncovered any changes in factual results. Below is Mr. Mast’s reply:
“Regarding the use of eni zymes in cattle feed, there has really been no change. Much of the research work has been inconsistent. Sometimes it has looked good and sometimes there have been no resluts whatsoever. There have been various products put on the market, but I don’t think any of them have lasted. I have just checked with Joe Fontenot and he says to his knowledge it is not something that can be recommended at this time.”
* * # Arthur Hall, Veterinary student in Georgia, called Jas F. Massie, Chairman Agricultural Committee of Rappahannock Development Committee, last fall, relative to establishing a practice in this county upon completion of his (Hall’s) studies. Mr. Massie put Mr. Hall in touch with your county agent. Mr. Hall is reported to be a top notch man. He is married and the father of two children.
