New Beauty Shop Mrs. Betty Jane Baldwin has opened a beauty shop in Amissville in the building previously occupied by the barbershop. Mrs. Baldwin, the former Miss Betty Jane Hackley, has hours from 9 to 5 Monday thru Friday.
Tel. Co. Expands Services
The increased demands for telephone service in Washing ton have made it necessary for the Telephone Company to expand its telephone facilities. A larger building is now under construction in Washington and new central office equipment is scheduled to be placed in service in May, 1963. The new equipment, which will require a complete number change in Washington, will enable the telephone company to provide its subscribers with additional features that cannot befurnished with the present equipment.
