The January Term of the Rappahannock Circuit Court opened on Monday at 10 a.m. with Judge R. V. Snead presiding. The Grand Jury sat at this time and the following indictments were issued:
Norman Richards, Ramon Luther Coston and William F. .Rankin, charged with escape from-the Rappahannock County jail by force and violence on December 1, 1962. Norman Richards was represented by Attorney J. W. Fletcher. Ramon Coston and William Rankin by Attorney W. F. Moffett, Jr., appointed by the Court.
Matthew I. Burton, Arthur J. Cave and Charlie D. Burton were charged with breaking and entering the service station and store building of Mrs. J. H. Wayland on Jan. 9, 1963. They were represented by W. F. Moffett, Jr., attorney appointed by the Court. Steve Eugene Hunter was indicted, charged with breaking and entering the Washington Elementary School on January 2, T963. He was represented by Attorney J. W. Fletcher.
