Traffic Deaths

Richmond - Colonel C. W. Woodson, Jr., Superintendent of,State Police and Chairman o£ the Governor’s Highway safety Committee, has tentatively set Virginia’s 1962 toll of traffic deaths at 972, for the third worse i score recorded. Colonel Woodson advised that all statistics were subject to some upward revision due to late reporting or deaths occuring from 1962 injuries, which revert to the date of injury for statistical purposes.
