The Rappahannock Lions Club held its regular supper meeting (and incidentally, it was a delicious meal, with seconds on pie) Wednesday night, January 9 at Hampton Inn, The program , under the chaTge of Lion Harry Lee Smith was a most interesting and highly informative talk by Mr. C. R. Parrish of Front Royal. Mr, Parrish is Director of Warren Memorial Hospital. His talk was supplemented by a series of very interesting slides and an informal question and answer period afterward. The Club thanks Lion Smith for providing such an enjoyable program. We were quite shocked, however, to learn that Mr, Parrish had not heard of the local fruit cake drive. Lion Smith, indeed, is slipping. There are still a few of these delicious cakes left and to get yours please call any Lion. Remember, ’tis a long time before next fall so don't deprive yourself of these treats.
