Coffman is a senior hub year at William and Mary College, working toward a B. S. degree in psychology. As an active 4-H member for many years, he won state recognition in recreation and rural arts, leadership, safety, gardening and poultry judging. He held the highest 4-H office in the state - that of president of the State 4-H Short Course. He also is a member of the Virginia 'Chapter of All Stars. In 1957 he received the Junior Chamber of Commerce “Youth of the Year" award in Salem, and has participated in over 100 programs for school, civic clubs, radio and television. He has been active in many school, church, and community organizations. ',r 5Conducted by the National 4-H Club Foundation ahd supervised in the states ;by the Agricultural Extension Service, IFYE is a peopleto-people program designed to promote international understanding through rural youth. legates abroad-Curtis AbI sher of Montgomery county, who is in India. The foreign exchangees will arrive in the United States in the spring. Before they go to their host states they will have an orientation program at the National 4-H Center in Washington. The United States delegates also have a pre-departure orientation program conducted by the 4-H Foundation. Slayton said Virginia’s guests will be named later.
