Struck By Car
An Il-year-old boy, who was slightly injured when struck by a car, was the only traffic accident reported in Rappahannock County during the holiday weekend. Richard Lee Willis’ son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Foster of Sperryville, was struck by a 1961 Volkswagen Sunday when he dashed across the highway after a ball, according to Trooper Paul P. Dicks. He was taken to University of Virginia Hospital and was re leased the same day. The driver of the car, Mr. Cline of Wytheville, was not at fault, said Mr. Dicks.
Woodville H.D. Club
Holds Annual Picnic
The annual picnic of the Woodville Home Demonstration Club was enjoyed by about twenty members and guests at the home of the Misses Lillie and Nellie Johnson Thursday, July 2nd. ....... At this time the club welcomed the new agent and also gave a small gift to the departing one. Present to enjoy the plentiful food and fellowship were Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson, Joanne Johnson, Rev. and Mrs. B. G. Titchenell, Sue and Bobby Titchenell, Mrs. Julia Wood, Mrs. Betty Wood, Miss Mattie Rector, Mrs. J. H. Filling, Mrs. Cary Thornhill, David and Melody Thornhill, Mrs. George Butler, Miss Harriett Goode, Miss Doris Daugherty and the Misses Lillie and Nellie Johnson.
