Mrs. Lucille Grigsby
Mrs. Lucille Grigsby, wife of Wingfield Grigsby, aged 58 of Steelton, Pa. died June 28 in an automobile accident on Route 622 near Washington, Va. She was a native of Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Lee and Sally Vennie Porter. Besides her husband she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mabel Fletcher, a brother, Leroy Porter and an aunt Mrs. Lillie Hughes, all of Washington, Va. and an uncle James Vennie of Braddock, Pa. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 2 at Promised Land Baptist Church with the pastor the Rev. L. C. Childs officiating. Interment was in the family cemetery. The pallbearers were Haywood Poles, Howard Butler, Thomas Jordan, Raymond Freeman, Walter Freeman, James Freeman and Ellis Glasker.
