On Saturday a buffet luncheon was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Fletcher, "near Washington, celebrating the birthdays of Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher, Miss Lorraine and Miss Doris Anne Fletcher and Miss Selena Jordan. Among those who attended the funeral of Mrs. Beatrice Poles Timbers in Philadelphia recently were Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Timbers, Mrs. Robert Mundie, Mrs. Havana Jeffries and Miss Herlene Tjrpbers. James Ronald Harris of Washington, D. C. was the week-end guest of his grand-; mother Mrs. Roberta Russell. There will be a Masquerade Dance at the Rappahannock County Community Center on July 17 at 8:30 until....350 stag, 50d drag. Refreshments will be on sale. The handbag will be given away that night. Prizes for the best costume. Benefit of The Promised Land Baptist Church Raising Fund. The Rappahannock Citizens League will sponsor a program presented by the Wright Singers of Richmond, Sunday, July 12 at 4‘00 p. m. at the Community Center, Washington, Va. The public is cordially invited to attend the wonder ful song festival.
