AI has made available to him the Top transmitting sires in the land at a price well within the reach of all. 2. AI has eliminated the necessity of using one bull on the entire herd. The use of several top quality sires is like an insurance policy. 3. AI eliminated from the farm - the dangerous bull. It made our farms safer for children, workers and farmer. 4. AI has lessened the danger of spreading reproductive diseases. AI Studs employ strict health programs and Technicians use sanitary procedures 5. Stripped of all its other advantages, inter-related as they are - AI is an economy measure. In most cases the income from one more cow in the milking herd will often more than pay the breeding fees for the entire herd. For dairy cattle breeders and commercial dairymen, AI has become a common practice. Every breed Association reports an increase in percent of all registered cattle that are the result of artificial breeding.
