Mint Goode Honored
With Buffet, Shower
Miss Harriet Goode of WastJ dngton and Winchester was hoiv ored with a buffet dinner and surprise bridal shower Monday, July 6 at Amissville fire hall by members of the Amissy J1* e Home Demonstration Club. The ladies planned the farewell dinner in place of the regular club meeting and Miss Goode was pleasantly surprised with the kitchen shower which followed. Miss Goode has resigned as home agent for the county and will be married July 18 to Bobby Smith of Winchester. She has accepted the position of assistant agent in Fairfax County.
At the dinner, Miss Doris Daugherty who assumed duties as home agent for Rappahannock the first of July, was introduced to the club and welcomed by tl^e group.

Mrs. F. W. Spalding of Flint Hill entertained members of the Washington Bridge Club and additional guests Thursday night, when prizes were won by Mrs. Galley W. Smith Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Mrs. Rayner V. Snead and Miss Mary Lalng. Other guests included Mrs. Charles T. Bruce Mrs. Wade H. Massle, Jr., I Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Sr. and Mrs. Moffett, Jr., Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith Mrs. John DeBergh and Mrs. Ralph Styer.
