J" ^ong run, money is
y°u spend. Money in itself is^ just paper or metal. You can t eat it, drink it, or keep warm with it. It buys the things you need. So, saving money just to save is meaningless. The benefits trom savings come largely from careful, penny-wise buying. A penny saved here, a penny saved there means, over time, you have collected many pennies. These are pennies that now or in the future get you extras that you couldn’t buy otherwise. And it takes fewer saved pennies to buy these extras than it does earned pennies. A penny saved is far more than a penny earned.
