John O'Bannon, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Maurice O'Bannon of Woodville, is among the 88 outstanding high school sen iors from 16 states who have begun an intensive experience in the study of mathematics and science at VPI. The sum mer Science Training Program began June 14 and con tinues through July 25. John is a senior at Rappahannock County High School and is president of the SCA for 1964 65. The students, 64 boys and 24 girls,were selected from over 500 applicants to attend the six-week program. Each of them is a high-ranking mem ber of his respective high school class and has indicated an interest in a career in science.
