Yesterday morning s rain, welcomed by farmers, proved unfortunate for motorists in Rappahannock. Two traffic ac cidents occurred within a short time of each other and a local resident was involved in an accident near Front Royal. All were results of skidding on wet roads. A Bethesda, Md. woman, Mrs. Carol C. Offutt, was fatally injured in a three-car crash which occurred at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday on Route 211 near Sperryville. She was a passenger in a 1962 Buick driven by her husband, William Franl lin Offutt. Mrs. Offutt, 43, died instantly of a crushed skull, according to Trooper
