More than 200 people visited the Rappahannock Library on Saturday, July 4th and expressed great pleasure In viewing the Exhibition of Indian Art. In addition to county residents and their guests, visitors signing the guest book were from as far away points as Texas, California and Alaska. A good number of children were particularly wek come. Mr. Solomon McCombs, the chief exhibitor, was present wearing the full regalia of his Creek Indian Tribe and gave two interesting and informative talks explaining some of the background and technique of the pictures displayed. Visitors were also happy to meet Mrs. McCombs, a gracious lady, who is an artist in her own right. Other contemporary artists’ work shown included that of Miss Joan Hill of Creek and Cherokee descent; C. Terry Saul, a descendant of the Choctaw and Crickasaw Tribes; Wayne Wolf Robe Hunt, Acoma Pueblo craftsman andpainter; and Blackbear Bosin, a selftaught Kiowa-Comanche painter. ■ Great interest was shown in the rare old painting on a
