The Rappahannock County Garden Club will present a spring flower show at the Washington Baptist Chur chon Friday, May 21st between 3 and 9 p.m. The theme of the show is “Something for Everyone" and does honor to the organizations that make Rappahannock County a happy land. Educational exhibits will feature conservation and native trees. Education is one of the aims of the Federation of National Garden .Clubs which has members in most of the fifty states. There is an abundance of plant material in thi6 area which is on the conservation list and it is of the utmost importance that the necessary steps are taken to preserve it. Horticultural exhibits will feature peonies, iris, roses, pansies, other perennials and flowering shrubs. The recent April showers should bring these May flowers to the peak of their perfection, if the old addage is true. Artistic exhibits call for a kitchen arrangement for the ladies and a hobby arrangement for gentlemen to personify our Happy Homes. The question immediately arises, does work for a woman and play for a man represent the happy homes in Rappahannock.
