Hie sou get soggy. Plant roots must have air as well as water. Be careful that water is not standing in the bottom Of the pot if it does not have a drainage hole. Let the soil dry out between watering until it is dry to the touch on top. Then water thoroughly. You may not get the full enjoyment from your gift plant tor the following reasons:

Too high temperature , If you plan to flower these plants a second year, do not expect the same quality bloom ps a greenhouse grown plant because it was grown under ideal conditions which cannot be duplicated in the home.

- Keep newly transplanted material well watered. .Rake and sow grass seed in bare spots in the lawn. -Uncover bulb beds in perennial borders. 'Dig up and divide summer and fall flowering perennials. •Cut back to the ground any shrubs that are apparently winter killed.
