NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Sections 29-125 and 29126 of the Code of Virginia, the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries, meeting at Richmond, Virginia, March 19, 1965, ordered the proposed changes in its rules and will hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of adopting these proposed rules at Room 100, 7 North Second Street, Richmond, Virginia, 9:30 a.m., May 7, 1965.

Amend Regulation 2 to set the season for hunting turkeys beginning December 15 through January 15 in the counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains except the turkey season shall remain closed in the counties of Accomack, Arlington, Buckingham, Campbell, Charles City, Culpeper, Essex, Fairfax, Franklin, Gloucester, Goochland, Greene, Greensville, Hanover, Henrico, Henry, Isle of Wight, James City, King George, King William, Lancaster, Loudoun, Madison, Mathews, Mecklenburg, Middlesex, Nansemond, Northampton, Northumberland, Patrick, Rappahannock, Richmond, Southampton, Surry Sussex, Westmoreland and York, and in the cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News and Virginia Beach.

Amend Regulation 6 to make it unlawful-to take, attempt to take, or molest raccoons in their dens or nests between sunrise and sunset East of the Blue Ridge.
