SPRING GOBBLER HUNT REGULATIONS • SEASON DATES - Saturday. April 24, through Saturday, May 1. 1965. • SHOOTING HOURS - From one-half hour before eunriee until 10 a m. each day. • OPEN COUNTIES - Albemarle, Alleghany, Amelia, Amheret, Augueta, Bath, Bedford, Bland. Botetourt, Brumwick, Campbell, Caroline. Carroll, Chariee City, Charlotte, Chesterfield, Craig, Culpeper, Dinwiddie, Eaeex, Fairfax, Fauquier, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Grayson, Greene, Hanover, Henrico, Henry, Highland, King George, Loudoun, Lunenburg, Madison, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Nelson. New Kent, Nottoway, Orange, Page, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Powhatan, Prince Edward, Prince George, Prince William, Rappahannock, Roanoke, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Southampton, Spotsylvania. Stafford, Surry, Sussex, Warren, Wythe. York, and those portions of Smyth. Tasewell. and Washington counties lying outside the bounds of the Clinch Mountain and Hidden Valley Wildlife Management Areas. Other counties listed include National Forest and State lands where applicable. • HUNTING METHODS - Hunting shall be by calling with non-electronic callers. • SEX RESTRICTIONS - Only bearded turkeys shall be considered legal game. • PROHIBITED TECHNIQUES - The use of dogs or organised drives is strictly prohibited. s TAGGING - Turkeys are to be tabbed with the turkey tab from the big game license, then checked at a checking station as in fall seasons . e BAG LIMIT - The bag limit on turkeys is 2 per hunter per license year, including any which may have been taken during the fall season just ended. NO MORE THAN ONE TURKEY MAY BE TAKEN IN ANY ONE DAY . • LICENSE REQUIREMENTS - The appropriate state or county hunting license is required of all persons not exempted by law. Those not exempted from the hunting license requirement must also have a valid big game license. Those hunting on National Forest lands must have the National Forest stamp and those hunting on State Forests must have the proper season permit.
