NOTICE TO THE EUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Sections 29-125, 29-126 and 29-127 of the Code of Virginia, the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries on May 7, 1965 adopted the following amended Regulation:
6. Mink and Opossum Hunting Seasons: It shall be lawful to hunt opossum, statewide, October 15 through January 31, and mink December 15 through January 31.
p. Raccoon Hunting Seasons and BAg Limits: (a) There shall be a continuous open hunting season on raccoon in counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains, except Bedford county and National Forests and Commission-owned lands, provided, however, the season for hunting raccoon shall be October 1 through March 10 in the counties of Amherst west of U.S. Route 29, Appomattox, Fairfax, Fauquier, Franklin, Henry, Loudoun, Nelson west of Route 151, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Prince William, and Stafford. No bag limit.
(b) It shall be lawful to hunt raccoon in counties west of the Blue Ridge Mountains and in the counties of Bedford and Rappahannock, other than National Forests and Commission-owned lands, from October 15
