The rnarriage of Carol Ada Deal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry R. Deal of Sperryville, to Mr. William Andrew Campbell took place Saturday, June 12, 1965 at four o’clock in the afternoon in Bethlehem Methodist Church. Mr. Campbell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell of Flint Hill. The marriage was performed by the Rev. Paul Davis, Jr. and the Rev. Randall Blankenship, both of Culpeper. The church was decorated with ferns, arrangements of white gladiolli and high geraniums.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full length gown of white satin peau de soie with a long sleeved lace jacket. Her veil fell from a crown of pearls. She carried a white prayer book topped with two white orchids from which fell satin streamers. Mrs. Terry Davis, of Flint Hill, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor. Her dress was a Navy blue sheath with three-quarter sleeves. She wore a matching veiled headpiece, and had a corsage of white carnations. Mr. Steve Lockhart of Annandale, uncle of the groom, was the best man. Ushers were Danny Jenkins and Donnie Gallihugh of Sperryville.
The mother of the bride wore a dress of beige brocade with matching accessories and a corsage of red carnations. The bridegroom’s mother was dressed in blue with beige accessories and a white carnation corsage.
