Miss Lizzie Eastham spent last week at the home of grandmother Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr. Her guests for the day Sunday were Wade Wallihan, Mike and Mary Brooke Massie. Mrs. Massie was the Sunday night supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. James Massie. Miss Peggy Palmer spent the week-end at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Palmer. She returned to Lynch‘burg Monday where she will teach for the summer session of the C. E. Glass school. Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Eubank of Roanoke were overnight guests Sunday of Mrs. L. J. Turner. Additional Sunday sup per guests were Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones and Miss Segar Jones. Mrs. Thomas Howie of Staunton was the weekend guest of Judge and Mrs. T. C. Lea. Miss Dorothy Taylor Davis and Miss Dana Snead attended the Final Dances at V.M.I., Blacksburg over the weekend. Mrs. W. T. Doran of Kansas City, Mo. is visiting her sonin-law and daughter, Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead and family at Fairlea. Mrs. T. C. Lea returned home Friday from a visit with relatives in Amherst. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Styer were in Phoenixville, Pa. last Thursday and Friday called there by the death of Mr. Styer’s sister Mrs. Harry Funk. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Buntin and daughter Nancy were weekend guests of Mrs. A. G. Buntin and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Jennings in Danville. Miss Dana Snead is attending the summer session of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg. Miss Doris Daugherty spent the week-end with her parents in Pulaski. Miss Druscilla Davis and Miss Nancy Cargill are attend ing a two weeks conference at the Episcopal camp at Roslyn, near Richmond. They were accompanied there Sunday by Mrs. T. C. Lea and Mrs. John Cargill. Bill Snead and Jay Cargill left Sunday for St. Georges camp at Shrinemont. Miss Carolyn Turner returned to Richmond Wednesday after spending a few days at her home. Col. and Mrs. E. A. McNear of Vint Hill Station and Capt. Richard McNear of Ft. Belvoir spent the week-end at Greenwood. .The McNears.
