Seventy-f i v e Rappahannock 4-H’ers and seven adults toured Washington, D. C. on Wednesday, June 9. Places of interest visited by the group were, Mount Vernon, Washington National Airport, Smithsonian Institute and the Lincoln Memorial. The tour provided an opportunity for many 4-H’ers to see the nation’s capital for the first time.

Carty Moffett, Alletta Beebe, and Tommy Williams left early Wednesday morning, June 16, to attend Senior 4-H camp at Jamestown. This camp is primarily planned around learning experiences in leadership, which will prove valuable to4-H’ers who serve as junior leaders. Classes in first aid and safety public speaking, leadership, achievement records, career^ physical fitness, and crafts will be offered. Recreational activities will include, swimming, talent show, archery, volley ball, a cruise and a beach party and hootenanny. Scholarships for these 4-H - ers were provided by the Farm Bureau'of Rappahannock Coun ty. Carty, Alletta and Tommy will return on Sunday afternoon, June 20.
