28. Beaver, Mink, Muskrat, Opossum, Otter and Raccoon Seasons for Trapping: It shall be lawful to trap beaver, mink, muskrat, opossum, otter and raccoon, statewide, from December 1 to March 10, with the following exceptions in regard to raccoons:
(a) In the counties of Accomack, Charles City, Gloucester, James City, Mathews, New Kent, Northampton and York and the cities of Hampton, Newport News and Virginia Beach, it shall be lawful to trap raccoon October 1 - January 31.
(b) It shall be unlawful to trap raccoon at any time in the counties West of the Blue Ridge Mountains and in the counties of Bedford, Franklin, Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania.
(c) It shall be unlawful to trap on or within 25 feet of a beaver lodge or beaver dam and no beaver pelts may be sold until sealed by an agent of the Commission.
135.3 Uniform Markers: Under the provisions of Chapter 11.1 of the Code of Virginia a system of regulatory markers is hereby adopted on all public waters of the State not marked by an agency of the United States. Regulatory markers will be a combination of international orange and white, a diamond shape with white center denoting danger, a diamond shape with inside cross denoting prohibition of all vessels, a circle with white center denoting a control or restriction, a rectangular shape denoting information other than a danger, control or restriction. Explanatory words may be added to all markers and the operation of all vessels shall be governed by any such
