Junius Gilmore Baugher,67, of Route 2, Strasburg diedFri day night in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident which occurred in Rappahannock County on October 6. The collision, involving two vehicles, occurred in front of Baldwin’s Grocery Store just outside the town limits of Washington on Route 211. According to a report made by Trooper H. C. Lucas, investigating officer, Baugher was a passenger in a 63 Pontiac operated by his grandson, Charles Arnold Sims, also of Strasburg, going west on Route 211. A 53 Chevrolet, driven by Joseph Randolph Pendleton of Huntly, pulled from the driveway of the store into the traffic lane and the two vehicles crashed. The Pontiac was owned by Mrs. Willie Sims, Strasburg and the Chevrolet was owned by Henry Elizor Jordon of Huntly, said the report. Pendleton sustained a possible skull fracture and lacera tions of the right eye and scalp. Baugher had severe lacerations of the face and chest injuries. Both were taken to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal by Rappahannock Rescue Squad. Charges are pending further
