Deans Hold Open House
Mr. and Mrs. ElwoodJ. Dean of Amissville entertained with open house Sunday afternoon at their farm “Elvira Acres," having about sixty guests during the hours from three until seven. Mr. and Mrs. Dean have renovated and restored the old Doyle property bn Route 611 which they purchased from G. E. Doyle. In addition to local people, attending were Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Harvey of Springfield, Mrs. W. H. Wood, Annandale, Mrs. Marie Hilleary and Mrs. Ida Dyrne, both of Arlington. Mrs. Harvey and Mrs. Wood are daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Dean. Mrs. Hilleary assisted with the delightful buffet.

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Copperthite were in Vienna Tuesday where they visited Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Riley. Mrs. Edna Mills and son Jerry and Mr. and Mrs. J. B, Cloud were visitors Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. John Cloud of Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Settle and family of Amissville were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Hitt. Mr. and Mrs. George Beebe and family have all been on the sick list, but are now recovering.
