i pa id at Rappahannock Angus Breeders Feeder Calf Sale held in Front Royal Tuesday was $27.08 as compared to $23.28 a year ago. Included in the sale were 1244 head of calves and 41 head of yearlings.
P r i c e s were as follows; Steers, fancy and choice, $30.70; good $29.12; medium 27.17. Average price for steers was $29.59. Heifers, fancy and choice $23.70; good $22.63; medium $19.89. Average for heifers l j was $22.72. 1 Yearling steers averaged $27.42.
Four buyers purchased over 1 a hundred head each and one man from New Yor k purchased 209 head.
