Beauty Pageant

Last minute preparations for the forthcoming beauty pageant are underway with’ the sponsoring group, the Rappahannock Jaycees, humming with activity. The pageant will be held Friday evening, April 1 at Rappahannock County High School and begins at 8 p.m. The Monday night rehearsal sufficiently shaped up the pageant with Mrs. Christine Johnston assisting in the direction. Most classes are well filled. All contestants are required to be at the school by 7:30 p.m. Reserved seat tickets are available at Sperryville Barbershop, Sperryville Essoand Sperryville Corner Store and are $2 each. Other tickets are $1 for adults and 50 cents for children, or admission may be paid at the door.
