volunteers is under the direction of the association’s workers. Local companies and police cooperate in services and in seeing that their employees receive this free health service. After the films are read and reports forwarded to the local health department the Public Health Nurses have the responsibility of working with family doctors and families of those who might have tuberculosis in seeing that treatment is available if needed and persons in contact with a patient do not also have the disease. To protect children from getting tuberculosis, we were advised, it is just as important to have the older members of the family, baby sitters, domestic help and close friends receive their x-rays as it is for the parents.
Those in charge of volunteers are Roy Reeve in Sperryville, Miss Mary Miller Wood at Washington, Mrs. W. A. Gentry in Flint Hill and Mrs. S. W. Riley at Amissville. Anyone willing to serve as host or hostess and those who can type the simple ident ification forms are requested to contact one of them and offer their services.
The unit will then leave the area of the five counties under the supervision of Dr. L, O. Fears.
