Mrs. Stanish Riley and Miss Jacqueline Marlow spent Saturday in Alexandria. En route home they visited Mrs. F. L. Bowey of Amissville who is a patient in Fairfax Hospital, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Nicholas were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Farrell in College Park, Md. Lloyd Martin, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Martin, spent Tuesday in Winchester where he had a physical check up. Mrs. J. L. Walter was a guest two days last week of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Walter and family in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Hutton were dinner guests Saturday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Desantis in Warrenton. Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norvel James were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Suter, Mr. and Mrs. David James and Mr. and Mrs. John Geer, all of Charlottesville and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer T. Jenkins of Viewtown. The occasion was in celebration of the birthday of Mrs. Norvel James.

Luncheon guests Monday of Mrs. A. C. Latham were Mrs. Harold Carder and daughter Martha Jane of Fredericksburg and Mrs. Peggy Bowen. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Settle were in Charlottesville Sunday where they visited Mrs. Gene Jenkins who is a patient in Martha Jefferson Hospital. Monday Mrs. Settle and Mrs. A. C. Corbin were in Washington, D. C. where Mike Corbin had a physical checkup. Miss Susan Latham was an overnight guest Friday of Miss Nancy Cargill at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Cargill. Mrs. George Kidwell spent several days last week visiting relatives in Rockville, Md.
