On Priday Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill entertained at a birthday dinner honoring the 18th birthday of Mrs. Thornhill’s brother Ronny Burke. Guests were Victor Jones of Mitchells, Jackson Frazier of Griffinsburg, Anna and Nancy Thornhill and the honored guest’s father Brew Burke. Mrs. Lucy Thornhill and Miss Ann Thornhill spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. William Morian and Mr. and Mrs. James Glover in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Thornhill is spending several days this week with her son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thornhill and daughter Venie in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Jr. and family of Herndon were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Putler. Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Burroughs Of Bowie, Md. spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hutson. Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hawkins and daughters were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wayland and sons Tony and Greg of Sperryville and Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Wayland of Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Emmerson Ben nett and sons Eddie and Tony of Arlington were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Burke. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Karnes and family of Culpeper were Sunday guests of Mrs. Karnes’ parents Mr. and Mrs. George A. Johnston. On March 18, Mrs. Doyle Marshall of Culpeper was honored at a birthday dinner given by her mother Mrs. Harry Lillard and sister Mrs. Joe Hawkins, and her aunt Mrs. Henry Lillard of Rapidan and cousin Mrs. Paul Poling of Amissville.
