Elected'to Wilson Fellows
Miss Aileen H. Laing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Laing of Bunree Farm, Amiss ville and Washington, D. C. has been elected for a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship. She was among 1,408 selected for Fellowships by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. Woodrow Wilson Fellows get one academic year of graduate education (with tuition and fees paid by the Foundation), a living stipend of $2,000 and allowances for any dependeni children. The graduate school they choose to attend receives an additional grant from the Foundation. The Fellowships are offered to encourage and support potential college teachers which will be needed since college enrollments- are expected to grow about 1.5 million in each five-year period. Miss Laing’s undergraduate college is George Washington University.
