The 50th Anniversary of Pulitzer Prize awards was marked recently in New York with a 'dinner at the Plaza Hotel for present and past winners. It was the first gathering of its kind since the prizes were initiated. About half of the nation's 300 living Pulitzer Prizewinners were present at the gala dinner, and were saluted by Grayson Kirk, president of Columbia University as men and women who had been selected over the years as “the most worthy in the nation" in 1 the fields of journalism, lit- ! erature and music.
