Mr. and Mrs, Kenneth Simpson and daughter Polly Ann. of Luray were callers Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser at The Oaks. Mrs. W. C. Hall and daughter Mrs. Virginia Kuhn of Alexandria were business visitors Thursday through Saturday in Charleston, W. Va. Mrs. J. Stant Weaver returned to her home Saturday from the University of Virginia Hospital. Guests in the Weaver home over the week-end were Mr. and Mrs. Nick Penaranda and three children of Fairfax. Guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hawkins were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Burke and son Michael and Roger Hawkins, all of Arlington. Charles Bruce was hospitalized for several days last week in the Warren Memorial Hospital returning Thursday to his home.

The Game Commission has received several reports that “deer-nappers” are already at work in Virginia's forests, according to Assistant Law Enforcement Chief R. S. Purks. Each spring dozens of fawns are captured by persons who find them in Virginia’s outdoors, and are whisked away to lives of confinement creating a problem for wildlife en forcement officers.
