Mr. and Mrs. Charles william Jenkins and family of Manassas spent Sunday visiting Mr. Jenkins' parents Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon D. Henderson andfamily of Fredericksburg spent Sunday with Mrs. Henderson's father the Rev. W. B. Dennis. Lee Hudson and Karl Peterson of Washington, D. C. spent Saturday at their summer home here. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dodson and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dodson, Jr. were in Arlington on Sunday to visit Oscar Dodson’s sister Miss Lovie Dodson.
Mrs. Clarence B. Dorsey and son Duane Dibble were in New Market Saturday night to attend a concert presented by the Choral Society and the choir of Shenandoah Valley Academy at Zirkle Auditorium. Edward Dorsey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dorsey, member of the choir, took part in the program. Lowell B. Archer, Jr., who has returned from Germany, spent some time with his wife and children here and also visited his parents Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Archer. He is now stationed at Fort Riley, Kan. temporarily. At present his family remains at Slate Mills.
