WAITING PERIOD Benefits for pre-existing conditions and elective surgery are available only after your Blue Cross and Blue Shield 65 Extended Contract has been in effect for six months. However, this waiting period will be waived if you were enrolled in Blue Cross or Blue Shield immediately prior to the effective date of your 65 Extended Contract
