2/3 cup sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tap. nutmeg 3/4 tsp. grated lemon rind 1 T. Butter or margarine 6-8 green apples pared and sliced 1 9-inch pie shell unbaked Blend sugar, salt, spices, lemon rind and butter. Teas, apples in mixture. Arrange in pie shell.
Sugar Crumb Topping 3/4 cup packed light brown 3 4 cup Triplett all-purpose sugar flour, sifted 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 4 tsp. salt 1 2 cup.'butter or margarine
Blend sugars, flour, salt and butter. Spoon over apples. Bake in hot oven 425 deg. 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 360 and bake 35-40 minutes.
