Soc. Security Notes

*In our effort to publicize the original deadline of March 31, 1966, which was extended until May 31, 1966, I am afraid that we may have neglected or confused the person who reached age 65 after January 1, 1966, or will reach this milestone in future months,* says Mrs. Hazel F. Daly, District Manager, Social Security Administration, Winchester, Va. According to Mrs. Daly, the March 31 deadline applied only to those who celebrated their 1 65th birthday on or before January 1, 1966. The extended deadline of May 31 applied to these and also to those reaching age 65 in January and February 1966. These deadlines as well as the initial enrollment period for persons attaining age 65 in the future apply only to the medical insurance part of medicare. There is no limit ed enrollment period so fai as hospital insurance is conpprnoH
