An individual who wishes to avail himself of the medical insurance protection begining with the month in which he reaches age 65, must enroll irj one of the three months immediately preceding the month In which he becomes 65 or by May 31. He may also enroll during the month in which he becomes 65 and in any of the three succeeding three months but tlie beginning date of coverage would be later than the month of attainment of age 65. What happens if you fail to enroll during this 7-month initial period? According to Mrs. Daly, you cannot enroll for the medical insurance part of medicare until the last quarter of the next oddnumbered year.
