A fascinating display of colorful fire works heralded the opening of Amissville Firemen and Squadsmen's annual carnival last night and the festivities will continue wougr^sflfftaaf feature tonight, Thursday, will be a gay parade with numerous entries of manykinds, including floats, fire and rescue squad equipment, bands, marching units and majorettes. The parade begins at 6:30 p. m. DST. A plate supper will be available at the food stand following the parade and also on sale every night will be hot dogs, hamburgers, coffee, soft drinks, and a good selection of homemade cakes, pies and confections. Mrs. Charlie Compton is in charge of the food stand and managing the <fake and pie concession is Mrs. Willie Hackley. A White Elephant booth with Mrs. Ralph Rowzie in charge will be another feature of the annual fund raising carnival. Any salable items may be contributed to this stand. On the midway a variety of rides, with Batmobiles and Army Tanks for the children,!
