r' . <' LOfitf ST : While most of’the Interest shown in the Cold War Cl Bill of Rights has been concerned with educational benefits, there are certain littlenoted provisions that give the 4 million veterans affected under the new law certain Civil Service job preferences.

They get 5 points added to their scores in Civil Service tests and 10 points if they were disabled or were awarded the Purple Heart. In addition to the actual 5 or 10 points being added to their Civil Service test score, those veterans who have served since January 1955 thus become eligible for veterans preference even though they rated high on the tests.

Edward M. Mathews, of the Front Royal Office of the Division of War Veterans’ Claims, is in Washington at the Clerk’s Office on 1st and 3rd Monday from 2:00 to 4j00 p.m. and will gladly give more details on this subject or any other matter connected with veteran’s affairs..
