Stevens E. Butler who was stationed with the Air Force in Goose Bay, Labrador received his discharge on July 30. After spending several days with his sister Mrs. Paul F. Keyser spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Keyser's brother and sis ter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Albert Slaughter in Leesburg. Ray Snead and John McMahan of Martinsville spent the week-end at Fairlea the home of Mr. Snead’s parents Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead. Miss Peggy Palmer arrived at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Palmer Sunday evening after completing a summer course at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg. Page Moffett returned home Tuesday from Camp Rock' Enon near Gore where he has been a summer counsellor.; He will spend next week at the home of his grandparents the Rev. and Mrs. R. E. Buxton at Springfield. Mr. and Mrs. Carson Walter of Middletown were Sunday dinner guests of Miss Lottie Burton.
