Superintendent of Schools, O. A. Norton, reported that the addition under construction at the local high school was on schedule, with the block and brick work almost complete. He also stated that plans !had been submitted to Richmond for the new elementary school and bids for construo! tion would probably be let in J October. He said he did not know what effect the rise in steel prices would have on the bids. S. t). Butler, Resident Engineer of the Highway Depart ment, was present for the meeting and sought a motion of approval of the secondary road budget for the fiscal year
