July 1, 1966 through June 30, 1967. This was approved. Miss Diane Brown, who will assume duties in Rappahannock as Home Agent in September, was introduced to the Supervisors. Miss Brown, a resident of Maryland and a June graduate of Bridgewater College, has been undergoing a training period this summer in Madison County. C. E. Johnson, whose term on the Planning Commission has expired, had informed the Board he did not wish to be re-appointed for another term. Named to succeed him was Allen Y. Stokes of Sperryville. A list of a dozen names was compiled by Board members to be submitted to the Circuit Court Judge in order that he might name five to comprise a Zoning Board of Appeals.
The condition of a secondary road, Route 610 in Chester Gap, was discussed and due to the terrible condition the Boa rd decided a recommendation should be .made to Del. Tom Frost for the widening and surfacing of 1 1/2 miles of same. However, it was not known whether or not highway funds were available. Current accounts were approved for payment before the meeting adjourned.
