The awarding of these prizes will climax activities Saturday night. A Carnival Queen will be selected and the coronation will take place Friday evening on the grounds. Votes, a penny each, may be cast for one or all of the contestants who are Ann Holmes, Virginia Bailey, Aletta Beebe and Sharon Suter. Whitehurst Completes Training Here
James G. Whitehurst, of the Virginia State Police Department, has completed a training period in Rappahannock and left Tuesday for his home at Virginia Beach. After a few days’ leave he will report to basic training school in Richmond August 15.
