Frank Moffett of the University of Richmond arrived on Monday to spend a week’s semester break with his parents, Judge and Mrs. W. F. Moffett at their home on Gay Street. Miss Carter Moffett will arrive on Friday to spend a week’s semester break from Mary Washington College.
Ensign Page Moffett will leave Charleston, S. C. on February 1 for a three-months cruise in the Caribbean aboard the USS MacDonough.
John S. Weaver, Jr. of Washington, D. C. spent the weekend with his father, J. Stant Weaver. Mr. Weaver, Jr. recently accompanied a group to the Island of Cozumel, off Yucatan, Mexico.
Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clabert Smoot and daughter Debbie were Mr. and Mrs. Rolf Pomeroy and son Barry and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Pomeroy, all of Front Royal. Dr. and Mrs. John L. Turner and children Louis and Mary of Chapel Hill, N. C. and Mr. and Mrs. William S. Dewhirst and daughter Ann Dudley of Richmond were week-end guests of Mrs. L. J. Turner. Claes Nordin, son of Mrs. Ilya Nordin, entertained twenty young friends Saturday night with a dinner dance at his home Jessamine Hill. Miss Nancy Buntin is spending a semester break from V.C.U. with her parents Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Buntin. On Sunday the Buntins attended the Sportsmen’s Show at the Armory in Washington, D.
