Traffic Collisions
Two vehicles were involved in a collision Saturday night on Route 211 two miles west of Amissville. Robert Austin of Memphis, Tenn. operating a 1961 Chevrolet and Jesse Lewis Timbers of Amissville in a 65 Buick sideswiped each other. Damage was estimated at $300 to the Chevrolet and $600 to the Buick and charges are pending.
A collision Sunday occurred at Massies Corner and involved a 66 Mercury owned and operated by Charles Paul Shaeffer of Silver Spring, Md. and a 63 Chevrolet station wagon driven by Chester Goebel of Vienna. Goebel was charged with following too closely when he struck the rear of the Shaeffer vehicle which slowed in a lane of traffic. Both of the traffic crashes were investigated by Trooper J. B. Willis.
