Bowie, Md., accompanied by Tammy Hanson and Laurie Sackchewsky “of Lanham, Md., were visitors Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. H. R., Terhune. Tammy and Laurie remained with the Terhunes until Tuesday and were accompanied home by them in the afternoon. Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Gallagher, Jr. of Culpeper were Saturday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. Lee Payne. Dr. Gallagher and Mr. Payne attended grade and high school together in Clifton Forge many years ago and met recently after Mr. Payne moved here in October to assume a position with Rappahannock National Bank. Mrs. David Hoadley of Arlington was an overnight guest Thursday of her mother Mrs. Sarah Latham and Susan and left Friday for Parris Island, S.C. to visit Sgt. and Mrs. David Streagle and children. 4-H Club Report

On Wednesday, the 20th of January the 4th grade of 4-H had their meeting. Mrs. Dickenson’s girls told very hard riddles. After that Miss Burtner told us a purpose in 4-H was to have a special project and know about it. She held up some paperback books and told us a little about them. We then selected the book we wanted to know more about. The book we chose would be the project for us for the year.
