Bus Trip To District
The First Baptist Church of Washington, Va., Rev. R. P. Pringle, pastor, sponsored a chartered bus trip Sunday to the Unity Baptist Church of Washington, D. C., R. E. Cunningham, pastor. The event was the 30th anniversary of the Pastor’s Aid Club.
Those who enjoyed the day were Mr. and Mrs. McKinley Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dearing, Mr. and Mrs. John Barbour, Miss Maud Roy, Mrs. Lottie Aylor, Miss Charlotte Aylor, Miss Ruth Williams, Mrs. Charles Williams, Jr., Mrs. Russell Aylor, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Butler and daughters Nanette and Dorothy Mrs. Julia Boddie, Charles C. Lewis, Mrs. Edward H. Bailey and granddaughters, Mrs. William (Moody) Aylor, Lewis Butler and John Williams.
Many of our friends met us there both from Washington, D. C. and here. We were happy to see Mrs. Margaret Freeman and daughters Marian and Theresia, Mrs. Willie Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Davis, Mrs. Lillian Timbers, Miss Ann Carter and the Rev. and Mrs. U. S. Brokenburr.
