Mr. Atkins was born in Sperryville, a son of the late Marion F. and Laura Dawson Atkins. His wife Blanche L. Atkins predeceased him.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Alden Crawford of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Reba Settle of Flint Hill, Mrs. Kathleen Beahm of Washington and Mrs. Florence Jenkins of Culpeper, and five grandsons.
Also surviving are four brothers, Frank Atkins of Sperryville, William Atkins of Stephens City, Raymond Atkins of Strasburg and Gilbert Atkins of Front Royal; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Atkins and Mrs. Nellie Dodson, both of Front Royal, Mrs. Ellie Dodson and Mrs. Stella Jenkins, both of Stephens City.D
